1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using The Opinion Times you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. We may update these Terms at any time; continued use after notice of changes constitutes acceptance.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old. By registering, you confirm that you are not prohibited from using the platform under the laws of your jurisdiction.

3. Accounts

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials.
• You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
• One account per person. Duplicate accounts may be removed without notice.
• You may not share or transfer your account.

4. Content rules

All content submitted to The Opinion Times must:

• Be between 1,200 and 1,600 words (opinion pieces).
• Be your original work. Plagiarism will result in immediate removal and account suspension.
• Not contain hate speech, harassment, defamation, or illegal material.
• Not impersonate any person or entity.
• Comply with the laws of your country and applicable international law.

We reserve the right to reject, edit, or remove any content at our discretion, with or without notice.

5. Intellectual property

You retain ownership of your submitted opinions. By submitting, you grant The Opinion Times a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to display, distribute, and promote your content on the platform and in related marketing materials. You may request removal of your content at any time by contacting us.

6. Subscriptions and payments

• Subscription fees are billed in advance and are non-refundable except where required by law.
• You authorise us to charge your payment method on the billing cycle you select.
• We may change pricing with 30 days notice. You may cancel before the new price takes effect.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms, extended inactivity, or any other reason at our sole discretion. You may delete your account at any time from your Settings page.

8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The platform is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Opinion Times shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform or any content published on it.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where local consumer protection laws require otherwise.
